Job Description:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of workers engaged in assembling parts or assemblies into units, and the inspection of finished products ensuring conformance to customer specifications.


  • Enhance and maintain employee morale through good leadership skills, acting as a role model and treating all employees in a fair, consistent and equitable manner.
  • Ensure safe and proper training for all employees.
  • Ensure proper safety records, accident reports, etc. are promptly reported and investigated.
  • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, assign duties and establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Co-ordinate with Maintenance as required.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Responsible for TS16949, ISO 14001 upkeep and maintenance.
  • Responsible for supervising all shift employees in all areas of plant, including safety, housekeeping, productivity, quality, performance reviews, and corrective action, etc.
  • Must work in a safe and efficient manner and comply with Stackpole International’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures and Quality Systems, Procedures and Policies.
  • All other duties as assigned


  • Community College, College/Technical Diploma and/or a combination of relevant education and experience with progressive responsibility is preferred
  • First Aid and Competent Person Training is an asset
  • Previous Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Previous automotive manufacturing experience/background would be considered an asset
  • Familiarity or previous experience working with SPS, 5S and CI activities.
  • Good organizational skills, be a self-starter, be able to work both independently and on a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively will all levels of the organization
