Materials Administrator – Canada (GAA)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Unload, inspect and receive (or reject) all inbound deliveries: manage and maintain all documentation and records related to shipping
  • Processes incorrect or damaged items; coordinate all outbound return shipments
  • Develop Vendor Managed inventory and stocking where appropriate
  • Receiving, cycle count, draw and return transactions
  • Order and receive inventory, store goods in proper bin locations, maintaining an orderly and efficient store room. Maintain Min/Max inventory levels
  • Unpacking shipments and placing products in designated bin locations
  • Loading bins with parts for stock, assisting with preparation for builds and managing bin organization post build
  • Purchasing of shop supplies and assist team with sourcing pricing
  • Performing physical inventory counts
  • Validate Manufactured parts through quality checks
  • Set up and maintain Kanban Systems
  • Monitor supplier/ shipping compliance performance as to specifications, safety, delivery, service and costs
  • Maintain and organize files on suppliers, special projects and requisitions that are issued
  • Compiles and maintains manual and computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials
  • Perform other related duties as required

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Obtain quotes from vendors on various products as required by the Automation Team
  • Review and Categorize Bill of Material items
  • Create and maintain contact with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Expediting supplier shipments
  • Manage any procurement activities including RFP’s (Request For Proposals)
  • Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approvals
  • Produce and maintain all required Questica, CMS & Smartsheet reports and documentation
  • Primary contact for facilities/outside services (i.e. landlord, office supplies, contractors etc.)

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Business Administration Certification
  • Excellent negotiation and customer service skills, along with a mechanical aptitude
  • Must be competent with Microsoft Office, Questica, CMS and ERP
  • Possess a high attention to detail
  • Must be physically capable of lifting up to 30lbs
  • Must be motivated, exhibit problem solving abilities, and a good work ethic
  • Experience in customer service or in a stockroom is an asset
  • Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization
