Jr. Systems Specialist – Canada (PMDM)

Job Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide front line support to network end users. This support consists of being the first point of contact for information technology related issues at PMDM.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides network and email access via active directory and Microsoft exchange
  • Trains all new users regarding network usage, documentation and processes.
  • Configures all PC’s to run on the network as required, responsible for joining to domain and ensuring all standard software is installed. Including remote access tools for troubleshooting, in adherence to Stackpole / Johnson Electric IT policies.
  • Assists and resolves issues for end users who are having hardware and software problems.
  • Installs any newly approved software updates.
  • Work with automating reports using Microsoft excel and access databases.
  • Work in compliance with Stackpole PMDM Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures, including IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in the field of Computing /Networking
  • Excellent computer skills (hardware, software required)
  • Must possess good organizational, interpersonal and strong communication skills
  • One to two years of related technical experience is preferred, recent graduates will be considered.
  • Must be subject matter expert in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Must be A++ Certified, certification in MS Office / MCP an asset
