Facilities/Maintenance Manager – Canada (PMDM)

Job Description:

The Facilities/Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all plant equipment and facilities are in good, safe, working order allowing Stackpole International, PMDM to effectively and efficiently meet or surpass company goals and objectives.


  • Leads and motivates all maintenance staff through Maintenance Supervision and Value Stream Leadership.
  • Ensures Maintenance personnel perform work in a safe and efficient manner including the enforcement of safety codes and policies.
  • Develops and maintains world class maintenance policies and standards,
  • Participates in the recruiting of skilled maintenance personnel and oversees their training and development needs.
  • Develops, implements and maintains the INFOR preventive maintenance program
  • Be part of the team to develop TPM Programs and Lean/5S.
  • Owns the maintenance of building, all outside properties and utility infrastructures.
  • Shares Health, Safety and Environmental responsibility for PMDM.
  • Responsible for outside contractors related to Maintenance projects and facilities service contracts.
  • Manages Stockroom to maintain optimal spare parts.
  • Manages the R&M budget (Repairs & Maintenance) and drive cost savings initiatives.
  • Participates in new product/process reviews and provide recommendations for equipment robustness, standardization and utilities requirements.
  • Supports Overall Equipment Efficiency improvements and track MTBF and MTTR.
  • Works in compliance with Stackpole PMDM Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures, including IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, or a recognized Trade Certificate
  • 5 to 7 years Maintenance/Facility managerial experience and/or supervisory, as well as previous experience implementing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program.
  • Must demonstrate technical competence with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills in order to support team goals and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
