Job Description:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, as the Electrician, you will be responsible for working as part of the Maintenance Department to produce quality parts at a low cost and on time to the customer. The incumbent’s primary responsibility is performing the tasks and duties that are required as part of your skills and abilities as required for machine repair and all plant equipment including plant utilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
  • Install, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits and other electrical components.
  • Read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine layout of equipment installations.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Operational problem solving and seeking out continuous improvements to the process;
  • Duties encompass preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, machine improvements and modifications.
  • Ensuring that a smooth “hand-off” occurs with technical team members on other shifts within the department, so that the communication and transition between shifts is constantly occurring.
  • Assist in the training and development of new members of operations;
  • Work in compliance with Stackpole Quality and HS&E Policies and Procedures
  • Participate in 5 “S” activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have an Ontario Trade Certificate as an industrial electrician and have at least three years relevant work experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Must have good trouble shooting knowledge of PLC’s, speed controls, CNC controls, robotics and automation equipment.
  • Must be a reliable, mature individual with a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent analytical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
