Stackpole International is a premier manufacturer of oil pumps and powder metal components, and includes 12 manufacturing facilities and technical centers in North America, Europe, Asia, and Turkey employing over 2,000 people globally.

1906
Company is founded by H.C. Stackpole and Senator J.K.P Hall to manufacture dry battery cells for Henry Ford

1912
Starts production of carbon brushes and carbon cylinders

1956
Enters the powder metal components business

1990
Divests its carbon business to focus soley on the design, development and manufacturing of powder metal components and oil pumps for the automotive industry

1994
Starts oil pump production, with its first application

2003
Stackpole Limited becomes part of Tomkins PLC of London, as Gates Canada

2005
Launches new facility in Canada; nominated for first OP Business in Europe

2008
Gates Powertrain Division launches Asian activities in China

2010
Tomkins PLC Holdings is purchased by Onex/CPPIB

2011
Gates Powertrain Division exits Gates Corporation to become Stackpole International

2013
Crestview Partners completes acquisition of Stackpole International

2014
Launches new Engineered Products facility in China

2015
Johnson Electric Group completes acquisition of Stackpole International
